My Approach
In recent years there has been a real interest in gathering what is best in the fields of psychotherapy and counselling and integrating them to work in the particular way that is best for you. This is the approach which I follow – an integrative approach. Part of my training has been in a wide range of theories and schools of therapy spanning the body work and humanistic traditions focusing on what is going on in the here and now as well as the relational and analytic approaches looking at the patterns which we get stuck in and how these relate to our past experience. I am also familiar with core CBT techniques and short term focused approaches. What I offer is the ability to provide a safe and supportive space in which to explore what your difficulties are with an approach which works for you.
